From Filderstadt to Tokyo: Learning in the Steinbeis network

The campus on which the SMT courses take place is large. But don’t worry, this doesn’t make your studies more complicated, but more flexible! SMT’s head office is in Filderstadt, near Stuttgart. In addition to our administration, this is where you will find the conference rooms where your project competence studies begin and end: This is where we invite you to the selection interview in the job interview – and where you also hold your oral defense at the end.

However, your actual place of study is not Filderstadt. Depending on which of our part-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs you choose, you can attend courses at the Steinbeis Haus für Management und Technologie (SHMT) in Stuttgart, but also at many other seminar locations – for example in Berlin, Austria and Switzerland. You can also spend a semester abroad in China, Japan and the USA through SMT’s partner universities.

About the School of Management and Technology

The School of Management and Technology (SMT) is also part of the Steinbeis network. It was founded in 2015 and has always worked closely with the Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology (SCMT), the largest project house in the Steinbeis network. As a business school of Steinbeis University, SMT offers part-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs with a business focus that combine theory and practice according to the proven Steinbeis principle.

What does this mean in concrete terms? On the one hand, you will spend around 80 percent of your study time in the company – and this has many advantages not only in terms of study organization, but also financially and in terms of career planning. On the other hand, all of our degree courses will sharpen your awareness of economic interrelationships. Regardless of whether your heart beats for computer science or management: As a graduate of SMT, you will know what is important in Economy 4.0.
